FAMILY AND MATRIMONIAL MATTERS

However, this will only be in the form of what is called an INTERIM ORDER which means for a short period so as to give the other party time to come and defend the matter.

At the second Hearing, the Interim Order could be made a firm interdict.

Whether it be an Interim Order or other, the spouse against whom the order has been taken must abide by the Interdict or a warrant for arrest can be made.

If the internal strife within a marriage or a relationship continues, and the partners wish to get divorced, there is legislation which allows a relatively quick, easy and inexpensive divorce.
